Introduction

Hello my name is Sheryl Lynn Becerra. In my eyes it describes me as a shy, determined person. I was born to Joe and Carol Collins in Defiance, Ohio but was raised in Sinton, Texas all my life. My major at DMC is Early Childhood Education, I am very family oriented due to a lot of loses. I am also a mother of three (2 girls, 1 boy). Some very 9interesting things were as I remember. One was on the 13th of August when I went in to labor with my first child she was born with the umbilical cord wrapped extremely tight around her tiny little neck that she was blue, silent, and stiff until the courageous medical staff came running in a panic and gave my baby another chance at life. Another tragedy I had to overcome was when my youngest children’s’ pediatrician told me she would never walk but I can recall the day she took that to heart and gave it her all and I will never forget that wonderful moment in life that I had tears running down my cheeks. I will never let anyone tell me you can’t do something because all it takes is that you have to put mind over matter to do something. The most interesting thing I did was just yesterday when I took my family to a carnival. We played games, and got on rides together. One movie I saw at the movies was Saw II. It was scary and right to the point but not something I would suggest watching as a family to gruesome for kids. THE best thing about myself is that after 28 years of thinking about what I want the do with my life I came to the best decision ever to convince myself to come back to school because an education. Also so I can show my kids that a good education can take you far in life. So never forget about your goals and dreams you need to achieve in life to be a memory for your generation.
